I am a Berkeley therapist whose office is conveniently located at 925 The Alameda at the top of Solano Avenue. The building is part of a string of buildings along The Alameda specifically intended for psychotherapy practices.

This set of spaces—which I am blessed to be a part of as a practicing psychotherapist in Berkeley—is a historical piece of Berkeley’s robust community. This community is not only supportive of the mental health of the greater Berkeley area, but also supportive of practitioners like myself as we serve the residents of this progressive community.

What if I have questions before scheduling a session?

If you’re considering therapy, I encourage you to schedule a free phone consultation. During this initial call, we can discuss any questions you may have and—when you’re ready—schedule a first session.

How many times will I have to come in?

During our first session, we will develop a treatment plan and decide together how often to meet. You can keep scheduling sessions for as long as you want or need to get to the place you want to be in your life. And you can always stop anytime you want. My goal is to help you reach the place you want to be in life, and that means tailoring treatment to your specific goals and needs.

What happens after our consultation call?

A security code to get into the building will be provided when the first appointment is scheduled. All intake paperwork is done online through my electronic health record, so I will need to collect your email address to send a link for you to sign your paperwork. This makes it extremely easy to get the paperwork out of the way so we can focus on you from the beginning.

How soon can we get started?

You can usually schedule your first session within one week.

How much does therapy cost?

My fee is $175 per 50-minute session and I do not accept individual insurance at this point in time. I do collaborate with Mind to Mindfulness to provide psychotherapy to clients with MediCal and county-funded insurance programs.

What’s transportation and parking like at your office?

Paid parking is abundant in front of the office and free street parking is available on the side streets. Public transportation includes AC Transit (number 79 from Rockridge BART station), which runs right in front of my office building. My office has stairs to the front door; if stairs are a challenge for you, I can let you in at ground level.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Except in the case of emergencies, I require 24 hour notice for all cancellations.

If you are ready to start your journey to better mental health, then I would encourage you to call (415) 640-1417 to schedule a call. Together we can bring about lasting change and improve your situation.
